It's been a while since I was last here.
What can I say. Work and Christmas kinda got in the way.
I was working flat out from September through to December. Worked so hard I list weight without even trying.
But then I put it back on over Christmas. Plus I've had some medical issues to deal with.
So at the beginning of this month I was right around the same weight I've been around for the last 9 months.
Oh well. It could be so much worse.
So time to step it up a bit and finally realise those 'magic' numbers?
Yeah. Why not?
I've been doing 7MM (with GXP) and bodyweight exercises (with HIIT) - alternate workouts.
So my programme is something like:
Sunday - Chest (bodyweight - standard pushups and hip pushups)
Monday - Back (7MM - close-grip pulldowns and low rows) + GXP
Tuesday - Shoulders (bodyweight - Hindu pushups and crucifix pushups) + cardio
Wednesday - Legs (7MM - Leg Press/Leg Curls and Squats) + GXP
Thursday - Arms ( bodyweight - reverse pushups and dips) + cardio
Friday - rest day (or cardio if I skipped a cardio session during the week)
Then on Saturday I start over, but switching the bodyweight and 7MM elements around.
All the muscle groups, and the rest day, tend to migrate forwards by a day since it's a 6 day programme and a 7 day week.
I've been doing it for a little while now. I like the bw exercises as I can challenge myself to do more and more reps.

Good to see you up on the board again.
I know you can reach your goals if you set your mind to it. What's your "dead-line" and numbers-goal for that date?
Remember - baby-steps, and goals for the after-dead-line date; plateaux are just rest-camps and not a fatality - just a stop to catch your breath so to speak.
Keep us updated :)
Comment by Ess Three on February 13, 2012 at 4:10pm The main benefit I get from the bodyweight exercises is endurance. . . and increased flexibility.
It's only been a few weeks, so I can't vouch for the results in terms of fatloss (%) or weight. But I'm seeing results when I do 7MM. My AR for the 7MM exercises are leaping upwards rapidly. So I'm having to increase the weights used often.
I think it has to be good for fat burn, as the body will try to make the movement more efficient by burning off the non-working weight (i.e. the fat).
Comment by JBF Mentor Tom Mortensen on February 13, 2012 at 2:11pm Hi Ess, good to see you back in force! Looks like you mean business, but don't we all!?
Nice to see you mixing up various "modalities" (sticking to fitness lingo here!), so how does it work, apart from you liking it? Does it melt away the fat or obliterate the grandma arm? :-)
