Cardio before third feeding

I am sorry to nitpick Jon--I've adhered almost exactly to the book, but now have a timing question. I don't have to be at my office until 9:00 so I end up in the gym around 12:00; don't eat until 1:30-2:00 and that pushes the whole schedule so I'm doing cardio at 9:00 or 10:00--makes it hard to get to sleep.So can I do switch evening cardio with third feeding and eat after cardio without diminishing returnsSee More

Supplements right after workout

Is it okay to put the glutamine, Carnitine, and ice water into a thermos to be consumed immediately after workout or do I need to keep separate until ready to drink? I'm gonna look weird in the locker room measuring out the stuff, so hoping I can premix!

Hi Paula,

I am working on the Second Edition all weekend. As you may know, I was delayed in the Second Edition due to a death in the family. The book will hopefully be ready next week, but no later than the week after. Thanks for your patience.

Just a thought Paula ... if your knee is bugging you, you can still train your upper body ;-) assisted pull-ups, Db curls, presses, shoulder presses, extentions, rows ... and leave the legs till you feel better, then add them back g-r-a-d-u-a-l-l-y so that you build up strength in the muscles around the knee. Don't force it! Patience my friend :)

Dealing with chronic knee issues! I am one of those "go hard or go home" people, so I push myself too much and then aggravate a chronic knee issue--then I'm back to square one with resting, etc. UGH!

"Yes, that's nice. You can do your workout whenever and however you like. Just be careful if you workout alone, with no-one to assist you if things get too heavy, you could get hurt. But I guess you know yourself and you limits well by now.…"
