as far as micro/macro nutrients are concerned I think that what is really important is to have a diet that has a wide range of food items.. It is so easy to restrict your diet to include only the "healthiest" items.. However I believe that…

I think every system (almost) works at some time in life.. My Pritikin diet worked for quite a while (80% carbs, 10% protein, 10% fat) but I think the reason it worked was that I was young and exercised a lot and the carbs were basically the…

Part of my plans for my birthday were

1) be stronger than last year

- 10 chin ups

2) be leaner than I was a year ago.

Progress so far:

cluster training cycle 2

This week I'm doing pyramid cluster training with the mad scientist muscle.

I did two days of of cluster training .. the workout Iä'm The exercise I'm most pleased with was bb bench press where I did 5 x 3 reps three times which equals 45 reps.

sets of three and 10 second rest between the mini sets. Two minute rests between the three sets.. So there really was just enough rest to be able to finish the exercise.

I used 60kg (my pb is 85kg) and I was happy that I did it with perfect… Continue

one leg squat - pistols

One way to impress people is to be able to one leg squat - pistols.

I have dabbled with those a bit.. and I can do 4.

Some say that they are not safe to do because of knee issues but I have found that they are really good even though I have a "bad" knee. You go all the way down to the floore so you go way beyond the 90 degree angle. The reason why I think they are safe is that I feel the pressure in my knee when I'm close to the 90 degree angle, when I go beyond that it seems that the… Continue

I used to weigh myself every day but I found that I get too disappointed on the days I have gained weight even though I know it is not fat. Then it is easy for me to give up and eat the wrong things instead of eating better and I end up in a downward spiral. It's strange but when I only weigh myself on Mondays it's easier not to give up even if I have gained weight. I "forget" the result, and give it a new try the next day or so. Somehow it makes it easier for me to stay on the program. Maybe because I have a new try if it looks like I have failed.
But thanks for the tip anyway. :)

I don't know what is different in your profile but it looks very nice - very professional but in good taste. I liked the layout, the graphics (colors, etc.) I'm not a professional in this kind of stuff but maybe that's why it is good to get the average guy's point of view.

I especially liked the picture slide show. It gave a nice glimpse of you and your world.
