Profile Information

My Greatest Fitness Challenge is...
Making sure I am eating properly to meet my goals. Part of this is trying to follow programs written for North Americans - I live in Korea and many ingredients for recipes are not available here or are outrageously expensive..
Hometown:
Corner Brook, Newfoundland.
Relationship Status:
Married
About Me:
Happily married. Teach grade 8 social studies and language arts in an international school in Seoul, South Korea.
I actually really enjoy exercising and use Turbulence Training. The workout is only 20 - 25 minutes long. I've tried a few nutrition programs, but really want to learn to eat EODD style. I eat well now, but don't have much variety. It's starting to wear thin and that makes it a challenge to maintain.
Favorite Music:
Irish folk mostly. Older rock. Limited selection of heavy metal. Almost anything that goes with finger picking on a guitar.
Favorite TV Shows:
Limited selection here in Korea and a lot of repeats, but from what's available I like Criminal Minds, Bones, Supernatural, CSI (all 3), a lot of Discovery Chanel stuff.

Numbers moving again.

Been back at it serious for 4 weeks. Working Bill Phillips' Transformation program. The book was only $40 and the website support etc is all free. Have lost 3.5kg fat, 7/8 inch at the belly button, and about 0.8% body fat. Some movement better than others, but everything trending in the right direction. Using the Bodyweight Blueprint for Fat Loss program by the same guys who wrote the other bodyweight stuff I do. It's a 3 phase program and I just started cycle 5 of phase 1. A cycle is 4 days…

Kids out of shape - sad.

Our P.E. teachers had to attend a meeting today, so I subbed as the afternoon P.E. teacher. Part of their standard warm-up is 5 laps around the playgound/soccer field (we don't have a gym - and the "field" is about 1/8 size). So I decided to add burpees! After the first lap they had to do 1, after the 2nd lap 2, 3rd lap 3, 4th lap 2, and 5th lap 1. These were all grade 7s and 8s - and they just about died. It's just sad how out of shape kids are these days.

Back bothering me.

Tight - especially across the lower back. Taking the week off from the strength and cardio workouts. Will just do daily Intu-flow (joint mobility) and Prasara-flow (yoga). The Intu-flow takes 10 minutes in the morning and the Prasara-flow about 30 minutes. Both are very low intensity and I think will help my back.

Back to regular workouts starting Monday.

Last 1/3 of my cycling route home from school.

It was a nice day, only -3, so went for a ride and decided to take pictures of part of my route home from school.

Also included pics of me before I got the cycling gear and after.

Be warned, there are a LOT of pictures in this album, and it's only the last 1/3 of the route. I have the camera set to take large pictures, so you should be able to zoom in on all of them if you want to see anything better.

If there's anything in the pics that you'd like to see more of, let me…
