Some really great photos you posted by the way ... those northern lights and the first return of sun in the spring reminded me of Hammerfest :) cake in every office and the day off school when the sun came back ;-)

S'gi (thank you) Julia,
I went shopping yesterday for the food on the list. I have to laugh every time i read Jon's comments about this being a "spartan diet". To my eyes, this is a banquet...i have not purchased so much food in a long time. I ate yesterday so much (by my standards)..i treated myself to a 6' tuna & salad Subway sandwich on ww Bread; and continued grazing on raw veggies the rest of the day...i swear i could feel my body smiling..lol. I will not start on the plan until the supplements arrive. I am hoping it is soon. I will continue with what i have been doing until that time. At the gym i do strength training..12 stations: 20 reps each..all free weights. i do this 2 times and then i go on the stair climber for 1/2 hr to 45 min. I go to the gym 4-5 x a week. Sometimes i get in the pool after a workout just to stretch and relax. My eating plan has been: protein drink in am with coffee and water. lunch on raw veggies with coffee and water, and protein drink in pm after workout. 3 quarts of water per day. With the workouts and caloric intake, i cannot do anymore than this. The weight stopped coming off...and so this is when i found your program online. I am hoping this will help me.

Kudos to you Nogah for your perserverance and bravery even when the doctors wanted you to take another path. Looking forward to watching and helping you reach your goals. Sarah is right sounds like you are too low calorie and probably slowing down your metabolism.

LOL, feels that way sometimes. Then again, with the volcano messing up European air space lately, the dog sled might have been faster =D

Long live the Pony Express :) (yes, I like the old western movies, especially with the Duke!)

The motivation is there..i am just tired at the moment so this healing path looks overwhelming right now. Thanks for your encouragement. I am waiting on the supplements to get here. When the mail reaches the Canadian boarder, they put is on a dog sled and mush it up to Alaska..LOL
This weekend i go grocery shopping for the food on the list.

Just think of how far you've come! And now you have this site with support and help to get you to the next level.

You won'[t get into a bikini this summer, but just think how great you'll look a year from now!

Start pasting pictures of women who look like you want to look (ignore those long-legged 5'8" model looks, pick ones who look like they have your body type), cut off their heads and paste yours on those bodies instead.

Sound weird? Yup, but it works!!

yes, it is very scary to eat more! i will read the material. Went to the Dr. yesterday to get some lab work done. I weigh 242..i need to loose at least 100 more ....it feels like such a long way to go.

Good for you, ignoring the "just sit back and let life be lived by others" diagnosis! You are strong my friend, many people will not push past doctors' orders and pain, preferring to live out their days watching others have a life.

My fist reaction to your comment of being stuck, is that you're probably not getting enough calories! 800-1000? That's extremely low. Especially since you are training with weights and being active, you would need to bump that up, seriously.

I know, it seems scary to eat more when you feel stuck at some point in size/weight and want to get it further down, but cutting calories is not the way to go (unless you eat 3000/day!).

Check out the EODD forum and of course the book as well :)

I have been working on health recovery for almost a year now and have lost 76 lbs. I go to gym 5 times a week, lifting and stair climbing..caloric intake is between 800-1000 day. So far i have only focused on the process, not concerned with results too much. I know i have lost 76 lbs because they weigh me ever time o go to Dr. office; otherwise i do not think about weight. I look in the mirror to see how i am doing, and i have had to buy smaller size clothes. I can see i need to loose more fat...and my body is not letting go of it as easily as it did when i first started...i am stuck!

2 years ago, the Dr. told me that i had fibromialga. I was in a great deal of pain all the time. He gave me prescriptions for this and that and told me to rest as much as possible. I hate taking pills, and so decided that i was going to ignore the diagnosis and the pain as best as i could. Instead of buying the pills, I took what little money i could gather and bought myself a membership at the local gym. I started with the water aerobics class last June i weighed 300 lbs. and hurt all over my body. I had to use the lift chair to get in and out of the pool. 6 months later, and greatly improved i wondered into the weight room. The trainer came up to me and said "my name is Tom and i have something to show you". He took me over to the free weights, handed me two 8 lb weights and showed me how to do use them. From that moment on i have had an ongoing intense relationship with the weight bench..LOL I am 5'1" and want to be wearing at least a size 10 or less. ( i was a size 7 in my younger days)....now i wear a size 18 -20....so i have a good ways to go yet...everything has slowed down and i am feeling very discouraged by this. I am working harder and seeing less results! I am needing some hope that i can reach my goal...doing this program i am hoping will move me off this stuck place. My dream is to do a long distance cross country horse pack trip...that and become the "Tina Turner of the belly dancing world"...LOL horse, saddle, and belly dancing outfit will be my reward...LOL!

Fewer feed days ... maybe, but don't cut them out! You need the extra calories (preferably good ones) to boost leptin levels and get the fatburning going again.

As for the mathematical genius ... I barely passed maths ;-)
