Hi. Has anyone tried the FBF workout? I was just wondering which workout would produce the fastest fat burning and building lean muscle in 14 short weeks. 7mm or FBF? Or any programs base on your experience that yields the fastest result. I am going back to workout after 6 months of layoff and planning to join a body transformation contest.

I haven't tried the FBF workouts.  I am using the workouts that go with the 24/7 Fatloss by Joel Marion right now.  I am doing a 12 week cycle with these and then back to 7MM.  I get bored; I like to switch up my workout routines often.  I have also done the Final Phase Fat Loss workouts before as well.  I like the whole body workouts these 2 provide, but at the times of the year when I know my life is going to be hectic and my schedule tight, I get back to a 7MM schedule because I know I can always make time for that.  I can't really judge the 24/7 fully in terms of results yet as I have just started with it.  The FPFL was great with improving my upper body definition, mostly in my shoulders.  If you are going to do the 7MM, I would do at least level 2 (3 if you are up to the challenge) make sure to use the 9 min GXP cardio protocol as well after lifing, I find that really helps me get lean when I need to.

ps. I am not a big fan of the eating plans in these other 2 programs though as they tend to rely heavily on a certain brand of supplements and use them frequently during the day - I prefer to eat whole foods and just use my protein powder in my morning meal

I haven't tried the FBF, but any program built up around the 8-12-15 rep range, and with short rest intervals will do the job for you. Also the workouts should have a fair number, at least 50%, compound exercises, involving the big major muscle groups, like legs, back, shoulders and chest. The key to success is consistency and progression, and of course nutrition. If your pictures are anything to go by, you know how to get lean, so you should concentrate on building muscle on top of that. I could suggest a number of specific programs, but your choice is also based on preferences, costs and many other factors. In fact, just looking at FBF and the way it is built up, it could probably do the job for you. By the way, 14 weeks is enough time to bring about a transformation, if you are preparing for some contest or similar.

Good luck!

"It is, really. What other species even questions what to eat or how much? Where are our instincts? Killed by civilization, or just "in a coma"?"

"Yes, that's nice. You can do your workout whenever and however you like. Just be careful if you workout alone, with no-one to assist you if things get too heavy, you could get hurt. But I guess you know yourself and you limits well by now.…"
