I am starting week three of EODD and to date have lost 1.4lbs.  Not happy.  My burn days usually consist of blueberry protein shake in the am, nuts 2 to 3hrs later, two apples at lunch, a small protein shake about 30min before dinner.  Dinner is a protein meat usually 2 to 3 different veggies maybe whole wheat brown rice water and produce later in evening.

My feed day is usually an eggwhite omlet with veggies and maybe half of a whole wheat bagel, nuts 2 to 3 hrs later, apple, whole wheat wrap with either turkey or sardines packed in h2o or tuna, half protein shake regular dinner and produce.  What am i doing wrong.

It sounds pretty good, but I don't think you're supposed to have the shake before dinner and the brown rice on the burn days. Also, on your feed day, you should follow the SNAPP protocal except lunch, where you'll have whatever you want, within reason. Good luck!
Karen I am totally confused! from what you are saying I follow the SNAPP on my burn days (now I can't sway from that at all? Meredith had replied to another women saying if she couldn't do the apples a salad filled with raw veggies was fine). Now there was also a comment in one of the blogs that on your feed days within reason you could eat a normal days meals. Regular breakfast, have the nuts and apple before a regular lunch and apple or in one of the blogs it said to substitute the apple before dinner have a protein shake half your required amount then a regular dinner and produce later in the evening. Now from what you are saying we can't stray from SNAPP at all even on the feed days? Please let me know. Thanks
Carol, you can stray from SNAPP on the feed days, but only at lunch. That's how I understand it anyway. Hopefully one of the staff will respond. Take care,
Karen
Carol the same thing goes for me. I eat differently than you do and I'm trying to follow as close as possible and tomorrow will be my third week and I gained 2 lbs!!
I said that to a reader who was allergic to the sugar in apples and wanted to know what to sub. Obviously, we had to think of something for her needs but just beacuse that was for her doesn't mean that you should go around making the same substitution without any basis for it.

You also have to take into account which plan the individual is doing, Lifestyle 2 has more DCC meals than Primer because there are way fewer feed days. So some people likt to use their DCC meals for the week at breakfast on their feed days to help accentuate the nutrient differential between burn and feed days and also to give them a break from the shakes. If you are reading a discussion you need to read the entire thread so you know the background of the individual asking the question not just an individual post.
I have lost 8 pounds in 5 days. FOllowng everything pretty close (Friday feed meal was dinner, as we had a birthday party for the kids). Even had a few drinks (Sugary Margaritas even) friday at the party.

Follow the protocol exactly, and they will come off. NO BROWN RICE on burn days. Can only have that on your feed day at lunch, 30 minutes after you eat your apples. Ifyou want to change your life, you have to break free from all your reasons why you can't. I have always struggled with this myself....
Carol-It's not working because you're not following the plan. i've followed your questions since you've joined this site and you seem determined to NOT follow the plan. Why don't you just give it a chance-one day at a time. You won't starve to death and you might find you like this way of eating. I get sooo much done on burn days at "lunchtime" running errands, etc!

Burn days: SNAPP
Feed days: SNAPP + lunchtime meal

It's so much simpler than you're trying to make it. Don't throw any extras in there. Try the plan for today-see how it goes. Then try again tomorrow.

If it's too strict for you then apply for your refund. It's not for everybody but you can't blame the program if you don't do it.

Good luck.
Julie~ I am determined to FOLLOW the plan. I'm sorry if you think otherwise. I am asking questions to help put this plan on track for me not to have another member tell me what i'm doing to fight the plan. In reading the blogs and questions other members have asked, it is confussing because WE ALL seem to have the same question about SNAPP. Some people are eating egg white omlets on feed days thats not following SNAPP so if I have a question about it and seeing if these people are loosing the weight by doing something besides SNAPP I would like to know. I fully understand what i'm supposed to do I know what SNAPP is I know on feed days I add a regular lunch I was sending out the question to someone who lost a substantial amount of weight exactly how they did it. Thank you for your comments.
You don't want to have starchy carbs like brown rice on your burn days. If you want that extra protein as you did with the shake have it closer to the time when you have the apples not 30 minutes prior to dinner. But since you are not making the progress you want I would omit that protein shake or the extra protein feeding altogether. If you go here this might help clarify some things for you http://www.jonbensonfitness.com/forum/topics/very-confused-newbie-help.
First - cut the rice on the burn day dinners - that's not in the SNAPP plan.

Next, I want you to log EVERYTHING you put into your mouth (item and quantity) for at least one burn and one feed day (preferably an entire week) and post it here so we can look at it and what you need to do to tweak it.
What about having low fat cheese with the raw veggies at night rather than low fat ranch dressing is that acceptable?
You really do not want to have the dairy in the fat shedding process. Especially if you are struggling to loose, you really do not want to alter the plan at all.
