Ground beef (or chicken/ turkey) - a-gain!?!? I looked at the package this morning and thought ... "blah"! Seriously :)

 

Into a stainless steel mixing bowl it went. The ground beef that is - about half a kilo. On top of it, one egg, half a cup or so of almond milk (eye-ball measurement as usual), three ts of tomato paste, ditto chopped herbs mix paste (don't ask me what was in that mix, I don't know, but it was Italian style herbs), garlic, and about 1 1/2 Tbs ww flour. On top of this, my hands :) to mix it all together. Works a lot better than any spatula.

 

I lightly greased a glass Pyrex dish and "plopped" the mixture into it, and it's now sitting in the oven waiting to be turned into a meat loaf and served with mashed cauliflower with a little broccoli for colour. I'll also fry up some onion to serve with it (no, not onion rings!) and probably make a gravy from the onions caramelizing in the pan.

 

Supper - for us - is around 5 pm, so we have plenty of time to be active after the meal, and snack on some raw veggies later on.
