I need to put some mental blinkers on right now, for different reasons I won't bore you with. One idea of course, is the famous goal board/ motivation board.

I've never actually made one would you believe. I've cut images that I've glued into my journal at different places (in advance, so I never know when I'll come across one), I've pasted the cover of other journals like a patchwork; I have Monika Brant on the visor of my car right now, a few unknown people's bodies with my head on hanging in the bathroom and bedroom, but no actual board.

The other day I picked up an Oxygen Magazine - best for inspirational pics for ladies IMO - and today I went to the $-store to get some colored boards.

Now, M-Power does say not to use pink :) but this pink is a deep fuchsia in a sort of neon flash :):) it works as far as pink goes. For sure, stay away from baby/powder pink, not very firing-up-ish. Most of the bodies on there are of unknown people (to me at least), only one is a "celebrity" but her head's off so it's ok (it's Jillian Michaels, only because the pic was good for what I want).

The center pic is half photo, half drawing, with a banner snaking across a biking, lean woman, and saying "Create your perfect body" - every M-Per knows it should read "ideal" rather than perfect, but I can make that mental adjustment when I look at it - or use a marker and correct it.

In the lower right-hand corner there is another person holding two medicine balls with a caption saying "I'm not done yet!" which is true, I never will be.

The other board (well, it was 2 for 1$ so I got two) is a purplish blue, which is a color I happen to like, but mainly it wasn't neon green, pukeish green or white (the other alternatives). That one is a work in progress, as I am putting inspirational foods on it and hanging it in the kitchen area.

The "create your perfect body" image is there too, but with a woman doing cable pulls of some kind (hard to tell what it's supposed to be :) from the small part that's visible), and so far ... that's pretty much it :) working on it this weekend; I do have a few magazines lying around I should be able to scrounge something out of.

Add to that a brand new journal with more pics inside and the third image with the banner "create your perfect body" to be pasted on the front cover, and I should have enough visuals for now.

The owner of the gym I signed up at called me yesterday and offered to give me a key "since I obviously know what I'm doing" so that I can go and train when it's closed, my hours are all over the place, so it suits me very well! Nice of him to offer, I'll run over there later and get the key - leg workouts assured on the press and killer belt-squat machine for a while :)

But today is chest, bis and abs; walks with the dogs later and tomorrow (if it doesn't rain).

"Yes, that's nice. You can do your workout whenever and however you like. Just be careful if you workout alone, with no-one to assist you if things get too heavy, you could get hurt. But I guess you know yourself and you limits well by now.…"
