UGH!!! We just got a shipment of the yummiest oranges from Florida. I know... eat sparingly... but when would be the best time of the day to have one?
I'd day earlier on in the day, or perhaps right before an afternoon workout?
yes .... or right after a difficult resistance training session when your body is primed to burn carbs and replace muscle glycogen.

Or at your feed meal.
Thank you.
Thanks for this list. I didn't realise cherries were high sugar . . . had 4 in my shake yesterday.

4 should be fine - when you want to use a high sugar fruit you just have to use 1/2 a handful instead of a full handful per 100 lbs.
anyone know where passion fruit (they're in season) and pomegranates fit in?

s3
Passion fruit has 229 cal and 55g carbs per cup - so definitely High sugar

Pomegranate has 72 cal and 16 g carbs per 1/2 cup of arils - so more like a Medium sugar
Thanks

wouldn't use that much of either.
. . . more like a tablespoonful for the passion fruit . . .
Darn, I love prunes and raisins and dried apricots! How about mandarins - we have heaps on our tree which will be ripe very soon.
Mandarins are oranges - so they are medium sugar and should be used sparingly.
I also don't see feijoas on the list, what category do they come under? Ours are just ripening on the tree. Thanks

Via Facebook, here's a YouTube clip from 60 minutes on sugar's effect on the human body:http://www.truthaboutabs.com/toxic-sugar.htmlI'm so grateful that RFLB got me off sugar in my coffee - dad used to ask me if I wanted coffee with my sugar, that's how bad it was ... before! If I also have to give up cream ... then I switch to tea!See More
