Hi,  I'm really not trying to undermind this diet I just really need some answers.  I am down some lbs I have been on the EODD for about a month now.  Do I absolutly have to eat the nuts :( I'm so tired of them, and the other thing is, I have been falling asleep before I even get to my last produce meal (snack).  Tell me if I am doing myself a disservice by skipping these things and if I have to eat the nuts, is there a substitute for them.  Thanks for the help in advance.

i have my produce at dinner-and skip the evening produce snack. I've seen a lot of others do this. As for the nuts-there is a list of nuts and nut alternatives around here somewhere in the forum. You can have sunflower seeds and it even has some roasted nuts like peanuts and cashews on it. I skip around between almonds, pecans, and walnuts. The raw brazil nuts were gross. Funny-I haven't tired of the nuts yet but the apples are starting to get to me.

You NEED the healthy fats in the nuts - just as you do the flax in the shake. So please do not skip them. Too low of a healthy fat intake is a reason many diets fail. Here's the link to subs: http://www.jonbensonfitness.com/forum/topics/nuts-equivalents

The nut butters are quite different in texture than the nuts - maybe try spreading some almond butter on celery sticks for a change of pace.

I don't get tiered of either but that's because I am allowed so little of either one - one of the benefits of getting leaner... only having (getting?) to eat one apple a day. Something to look forward to.
i look forward to one apple a day-three is too much. By the third one my coworker is cracking up at the look on my face!
yeah my kids did the same when I did the detox days in RFLB
You can also have a pear instead of one of the apples.

I combine the two Ps, as I'd otherwise have to get up again to have the produce :) it's worked just fine so far (2 years+).
