Basic shake: use the portions for your weight found in EODD - add one item (or a combo of items) of each ingredient listed below

Protein powder of your choice (see page 53 for ammount)

Liquid - water, (almond, rice, or soy milk can substitute) to taste

Fruit - low sugar like berries, peaches, melon for burn days, can splurge with banana on feed days (see page 54 for ammount)

Fat - flax seeds (grind seed or soak overnight before adding to shake), salba seeds, chia seeds - 1 Tbsp

Fiber - veggies - at least 1 handful (1 cup) My favorite is spinach. I usually just grab what's in the fridge (which is based on produce prices at the market) and get creative - I don't think I have ever made the exact same shake twice

Ice if you like it cold & frothy (I usually use 1/2 to 1 cup)

Back on the chocolate shake - to accentuate the chocolate flavor even more, try adding 1/4 tsp expresso powder or freeze dried coffee. Used to use that in chocolate cakes, but haven't had many of those in the past month. On the positive side, there's 12 lbs less of me now...
I found some cocoa powder with chili mixed in ... gives a little "bite" to the chocolate and boosts metabolism a little extra at the same time.

For the chocolate shake, I just add a 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper ;-) really, it's pretty good!
hi i just started eodd today. i made the blueberry cooler shake this morning and there was sooooo much. is there supposed to be more than one serving or are you supposed to drink it all? oh and there was a lot of blueberry and cherry skin, i dont know if its supposed to be like that or what. thanks.
You can make enough for 2 days, it'll keep in the fridge. However, make sure you get the amount of protein per shake that you're supposed to.

As far as skin in the shake, you can try blending it for longer or just drink the skins as is. All blenders aren't suited to chop berry skin as well as others.

my protein needs are 35 grams. so if i made it for 2 days does that mean i need to put in 70 grams? oh and i know this is off topic but on feed days do you eat the apples before or after the feed meal? thanks again :)

Before!

Apple - wait 30 minutes - eat your feed meal for no more than 30 minutes at a normal to slow eating speed.

Yes, if you make your shake for 2 days, you will have to make sure there is enough protein for both shake-meals.

Hope this helps :)
